1.png元宵节(the Lantern Festival)来了,继春节之后来临的它也是源远流长,Google的首页很应景地换成了这个样子:又一道引起南北大战的题目来了:元宵好吃还是汤圆好吃?我们常说的汤圆(Tang Yuan:glutinous rice ball/ boiled rice dumpling)和元宵(Yuanxiao:rice glue ball/ sweet dumpling)并不是一个物种。在北方,这群圆滚滚的小胖子被称为元宵,在南方则是汤圆。这两种食物到底哪里不一样呢?工艺不同元宵是“摇”出来的,馅料切成小方块,放入盛满糯米粉glutinous rice flour的簸箕里摇,边摇边洒水,直到成型;元宵的口感比较劲道。 It is a rice dumpling ball which has a sweet filling covered by sweet rice flour dough.汤圆是“包”出来的,糯米加水和团,像包饺子一样加入馅料(也可以不加馅),揉成圆球;汤圆的口感比较软糯。Tangyuan or tang yuan is a Chinese dessert made from glutinous rice flour mixed with a small amount of water to form balls and then cooked and served in boiling water or sweet syrup. Tangyuan can be either small or large, and filled or unfilled.煮时不同元宵煮的时间长,需要10分钟+,汤圆煮的时间短,3~5分钟即可。口味不同元宵馅多为豆沙、芝麻、山楂等种类。煮后汤比较浓,表皮松软,馅料硬实有“咬劲”,果香和米香浓郁。汤圆的馅甜,咸、荤、素都有,汤比较清亮,皮面润滑,馅儿流动性很好。你觉得元宵好吃还是汤圆好吃?
