影片改编自1549号航班事件,是由一班美国全美航空公司由纽约市拉瓜迪亚机场起飞,飞往华盛顿州西塔克西雅图-塔科马国际机场的每日定期国内客运航班。2009年1月15日,一架空中客车A320-214负责该航线,在起飞爬升过程中遭加拿大黑雁撞击,导致两个引擎同时熄火,飞机完全失去动力,驾驶舱机组人员在确认无法到达附近的2个机场后,决定于哈德逊河河面进行迫降。结果是机上共155人全数生还,该事件也被称为“哈德逊奇迹”。

萨利机长被认定为在事故几周后一直有创伤心理压力紧张后群症。出现幻觉和失眠。经常感觉自己往下坠。影片通过各种夸张的特效手法真实还原展现。影片的一开始就是萨利机长做的一个噩梦,这个梦是他按照塔台的要求想飞回地面机场迫降结果没有成功撞向了大楼。而真实情况萨利机长当让没有做过这种梦了。这只是影片开头为了吸引人而做的一个特效炫技。萨利机长和杰夫副机长在这里科普一下,飞机如果发生事故,能迫降在地面绝对不会选择迫降在水里。迫降水里一定是下下策。大家可以试想一下,一个有轮子的飞机降落在专门铺好的跑道好还是落在软软的水面好。而且飞机迫降在水面以后,飞机会在数分钟内迅速沉没。更重要的是,迫降在地面是为了更方便后期的救援。而救援的时间,就是决定生还者的黄金时间。
在影片最后的公开听证会上,大家开始online在线去看电脑模拟和人为模拟1549航班双引擎实效的状态下,是否可以成功迫降在两个靠近的地面机场。都得到成功验证可以迫降在地面机场。而此时萨利机长开始发飙说飞机被鸟撞击后你们马上飞回地面,这样做根本没有加上人为紧张时间和考虑反应时间,当然可以成功飞回地面。于是NTSB才加上35秒的反应时间,从而验证得出,唯一的迫降选择,只能是哈德逊河。
这是影片和真实情况出入最大的地方,因为影片把NTSB设定成是对萨利机长有敌意的一方,所以各种不谨慎不考虑不作为都放在了NTSB以烘托萨利机长的伟大,但真实情况是NTSB早就把反应时间和人为因素考虑进去,整个听证会其实都是非常严肃和理性的。当然真实情况NTSB还质疑为何当时选择河面迫降的时候萨利机长没有开启飞机水面迫降装置。
虽然电影好看,汤叔的演技也厉害,但远没有真实的萨利机长和“哈德逊河奇迹”打动人啊.
萨利(切斯利·B·萨伦伯格.三世)生平萨利机长(切斯利·B·萨伦伯格.三世)照片1951年出生于美国得克萨斯州。1969年中学毕业后,萨伦伯格进入美国空军学院,学习驾驶滑翔机。1973年,他从空军学院心理学和基础科学专业毕业,此后又攻读了美国普渡大学的工业心理学硕士和美国科罗拉多北部大学的公共管理硕士学位。1973年到1980年,萨伦伯格在空军驾驶F4战斗机,并升职为飞行指挥员和飞行教练。1980年起,萨伦伯格退役进入太平洋西南航空(后为全美航空)工作。2007年起,萨伦伯格机长成为安全依赖方法公司(Safety Reliability Method,Inc.
